Content Marketing Specialist

Join us in making the world a little more connected as a Content Marketing Specialist.

Serve as a leader in internal and external communications through management and execution of proposals, marketing communications, and internal communications initiatives. Create standards and best practices to ensure consistency of message about Madden’s selling points and position in the industry.

Responsibilities

Proposal Writing:  70%

  • Develop proposal pitch strategy.
  • Take ultimate responsibility for the written portion of all assigned projects.
  • Engage in continuous improvement of proposal quality, processes, and tracking.
  • Assume responsibility for on-time delivery of all proposals and supplementary materials for assigned projects.
  • Collaborate with design department to create final product.
  • Write proposals that are responsive to RFPs/client requests and internal directives from staff members, while making compelling cases using relevant data/selling points.

Marketing Writing:  20%

  • Maintain and steward the Madden Brand across all materials produced
  • Create marketing collateral to enhance customer perception of Madden’s strategic position in the industry.
  • Maintain and continually improve an effective system to arm all Madden staff with accurate and current information about the company and its products, clients, market share, competitive differentiators, etc.

Research:  10%

  • Provide market, product, and service expertise for new business development, current products, and new product ideas.
  • Engage in market research to identify marketplace trends, business opportunities, and competitor presence.
  • Solicit and apply feedback from internal and external customers.
  • Ensure application of research data and feedback to writing projects.

Requirements

  • Marketing Understanding – Understanding of digital marketing tactics and products.

  • Quality – Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; looks for ways to improve and promote quality; applies feedback to improve performance; monitors own work to ensure quality; helps establish best practices within the department and in areas of cooperation with other departments.
  • Quantity – Meets productivity standards; completes work in a timely manner; strives to increase productivity; works quickly.

In addition to these competencies, preferred experience with InDesign, WordPress, marketing or agency work, or writing complex documents like proposals is appreciated.
