Summary
Aurora is home to Colorado’s largest resort and convention center, but the city needed to stand out against mountain destinations vying for meetings business. Together, we built the “We Move Mountains for You” campaign—rooted in Aurora’s promise of unmatched service for planners. With bold creative across digital, print, and geofenced placements, plus a smart SEM push, the campaign showcased Aurora not only as a meetings hub but as a community worth exploring outside the venue.

SITUATION
The meetings and events market has historically been the most significant source of tourism revenue for Aurora, Colorado, home to the largest resort and convention center in the state. While in the midst of a comprehensive branding project, Visit Aurora wanted to increase awareness of the city as a prime destination for meetings and events and to set itself apart from other mountain destinations.


APPROACH
To differentiate Aurora, we leaned into Visit Aurora’s commitment to service and dedication to helping meeting planners every step of the way. This sparked the campaign, “We Move Mountains for You.” Developed with bold eye catching colors, targeted ads were placed through Meta and Mobilefuse with print ad placements in industry publications, including ASAE and PCMA, later this year. In addition, a strategic SEM campaign was created to drive users to VisitAurora.com.
Not stopping with simply bringing events to Aurora, we created an in-market, targeted campaign geofencing event venues to serve attendees ads encouraging them to explore Aurora’s culinary and cultural offerings.
RESULTS
Our efforts generated a 200% increase in year-over–year page views, over 800,000 impressions, and higher than industry average CTR on Meta and Google ad placements.
