Situation
When we became the agency of record for Visit Staunton, the main goal of the destination was to increase brand awareness and advocacy and grow the number of people that know about Staunton as a destination for leisure travelers, meetings and conferences, as well as adult and student group tours.
Approach
Staunton, Virginia is considered one of the best small towns in America because of its downtown and architecture. With a vibrant arts and culture scene, amazing local restaurants and chefs, and proximity to the great outdoors with national parks just around the corner, Staunton provides a small town feel with big time culture. Our main marketing objectives for Visit Staunton were to have potential travelers visit the website, sign up for the newsletter, or request a visitor guide. With those call-to-actions in place, we built and developed a new marketing driven website for Visit Staunton that would direct people through an online experience that would show them the beauty and quaint charm that Staunton possesses.
Through traditional and digital marketing, we also created digital and print advertisements that showcased creative campaigns done to enhance the brand that Staunton already had. We also utilized influencers and our content team to create new and fresh content for social media channels to boost engagement on different platforms. We developed an omnichannel media plan for Visit Staunton that covered a multitude of different platforms from google, to meta, to TikTok. By doing this, we are able to get Staunton’s messaging in front of people in different stages on the traveler’s journey.

BRAND REFRESH
As the AOR for Visit Staunton, we started by defining their branding with warm colors and a logo that showcased the architecture of the community.
NEW ASSETS
Updated advertisements around the community incorporated the refreshed branding, and enhanced messaging.
DIGITAL MARKETING
We developed an omnichannel media plan for Visit Staunton that covered a multitude of different platforms from google, to meta, to TikTok.
UPDATED BRAND COLLATERAL
In addition to the leisure tourism assets we created, part of the brand refresh included new marketing collateral, including postcards.
